Our Story
EL MOLINO
Nestled in the heart of Zahara de la Sierra, Molino El Vínculo has a story that spans over two centuries, deeply intertwined with the rich traditions of Andalusia.

PAST
Established in 1755, the mill was founded during a time when the rugged, mountainous region of the Sierra de Cádiz was renowned for its olive groves. The fertile land and perfect climate made it an ideal location for cultivating olives, a tradition passed down through generations.
From its inception, Molino El Vínculo was not just a place of work but a symbol of family heritage and community. Using the traditional stone grinding techniques and manual presses, the mill produced olive oil that became a staple in the region, known for its purity and flavor. For over 250 years, the mill remained in the hands of the same family, with each generation preserving the artisanal methods of olive oil production.
However, Molino El Vínculo wasn’t just about making olive oil; it was a hub of rural life. Local farmers brought their harvests to the mill, and the olive oil it produced became essential to the daily lives and livelihoods of those in Zahara de la Sierra and beyond. The mill became a gathering place, a focal point where people shared stories, exchanged news, and passed on traditions.
As time passed, technological advancements began to change the landscape of olive oil production, and the old stone mills gradually gave way to modern methods. However, the family behind Molino El Vínculo remained committed to preserving the authenticity and craftsmanship that made their olive oil special.
